I create paintings that explore the relationship between nature, technology and spirituality. My current work is influenced by viewing nature through the prism of technology. Pixel-like brushwork, heightened colors, and an internal self-illuminated light source are all techniques used to break apart the surface appearance of the natural world and make paint look like light and energy. 

The overlay of digital inspired effects onto the natural world is used in these paintings to make spiritually felt ideas visible. The effect, in part, is intended to heighten the awareness of the energy that flows through us, connects us to nature, and drives the universe. The outside becomes the inside and the inside becomes the outside.
